well if you can't look like a skinny bitch, now you can smell like one...

I was in shoppers drug mart yesterday at midnight ...yes my life is that action packed... and I was bumbling around the perfume section. I got a little bottle of burberry a while back and it has sort of sparked this perfume sample buying obsession.

i really like that Kate Moss (haha) scent... I know what you're thinking... it smells like coke and vomit, probably the last two smells her little cokey nose can register..but it actually smells pretty damn good..."notes of black pepper, freesia and cashmere incense were built into the perfume, which has a heart of patchouli and nutmeg. The base notes include sandalwood, amber, ebon wood and woody accords."

The black pepper kind of fucked with my sense of smell and for about half an hour I repetitively held my wrist to my roommate's nose asking "is this a good smell or a bad one?" We concluded in the end that it was a good one, and something in it smells like something I can't place from my childhood....

i wish the bottle wasn't so tacky, they wanted 60 bux for it at shoppers but I got in on ebay for 15. Screw you bitches!!

I put myself on a GI/diabetic diet jan 1st. Don't worry, I'm not diabetic. Phase one (the nazi phase as I like to call it)= none of the following..
-bread
-pasta
-rice
-any sugar
-booze
-caffeine
-fruit
-saturated fats
-aaaaand anything tasty pretty much.

so I'm on day four. Doing pretty good. The first few days were HEEEEELLLL. I've lost about 4 lbs so far. Not sure what my target weight loss number is...probably thirty lbs or so...see how I feel when I get there.

Its not too horrendous of a diet to be on really, since starvation is NOT encouraged, and instead you should eat until you are full...just eat good stuff. So I'm going to stick with it. I am pretty tired of the spare tire! LOL.

quiet welfare week here at the ol' work...I was making some food tonight for the ladies, it was all going well untill they all started fighting and slapping each other. Its so easy to break up a chick fight though....you just have to be the loudest person in the room. Then they get all confused and stop hitting each other. Thats what I like to call 'fly by the seat of your pants de-escalation.' lol.

been still squirrely, cant get to the farm, can't really get anywhere...went out and got my nails did and my ears stretched...other than that...just going for lots of walks and writing music..I think my new band is going to play at the railway in jan. Looool. should be fun.

just gearing down this week and getting ready for turkey time..yeeeeeah turkey time!

wow. hey. its damn cold! LOL. Mr Maverick is all bundled up in many layers and ready for the elements. It was nice and sunny today and it would have been a great day to ride if it had not been a sheet of ice everywhere..the only soso footing is out on the track and on a mellow day he is ready to book it so I'm not too sure about tackling that. I have sort of resigned myself to taking a weather induced break from training for now. I think its nice for him to just chill out with his buddies and be a horse for a bit. No rest for me though, I don't want to loose muscle so I've been heading off to the gym and givin' it there.

Work's been a bit crazy, everyone is really fired up for cheque day..uuuugh. At least they are all being nice to each other for the time being. LOL, we'll see how long that lasts! HA!

With xmas around the bend, I've pretty much wrapped up all my shopping I even got a present for Bud. (he gets a stocking too) Taken some funny pics of Maverick with reindeer ears. will post those soon.

winter is a good time to reflect on things, especially to plan the trophys and plaques that you are going to adorn your house with after the coming show season. I'm in it to win it this year...I'm going to do the hunters with Maverick this year and apply for the Canadian Warmblood Assc achievement award points system. I figure I can at least qualify for the year end achievement award and start stacking up the points for a lifetime achievement award for Maverick. I think it would be a nice thank you to the girl who didn't want him because he wasn't good enough for her.

In terms of breed and halter shows for Sam, unfortunately the Canadian Sport Horse assc is undergoing some major changes and is not doing the annual breed show...so that leaves the BC sport Horse Asssc, that's not so bad...its a shame the CEF doesn't man up and start getting some good breed shows going in BC, but there seems to be a huge lack of support for it. Gee, and the Canadian Olympic team wonders why they have to keep importing from Holland...hmmm. Bet if they made riding a horse bred in your country mandatory, breeder programs would really shape up! Don;t get me wrong, there are a lot of wonderful warmblood breeders in Canada, but not enough of them, and no encouragement or incentive.

so there. lol.

well of all the things in the world that suck, at least my horse is doing good. Riding him the week has been like sitting on a lit stick of TNT. The babies running around in the lean-to were making him loco in the coco. He was prancing around like a stallion. LOL. His legs had like a few seconds of hang time before stamping down on the ground and his tail was sticking straight up in the air. On thursday in our lesson we were doing jumps on the figure eight and he shoved his nose to the ground and starting tossing his head around like he was going to start bucking! Silly Maverick. We ended our lesson with a line of two oxers at three foot with a two foot spread.

He was too hot to jump today, so we did some intense canter work spiraling from 15-30 meter circles with lead changes on a figure eight. He wore me out before I wore him out...I think I might have to start lunging him before I get on if he is going to continue to be so goofy..he has such a huge ass, when he bucks, its pretty hard to stay on..and I know from experience lol.

My friend Kendall got on him the other day, and he looks great..he's so muscled up you can see everything ripple when he moves. He looks great, as my coach says, "he is just thriving!" lol. I bought him a pelham bit to try out the other day, but I haven't got two pairs of unlaced reins for it yet. I think my mum might get the pessoa bridle I want for xmas (0: so I'm going to wait and get matching reins for it.

woot
